This is the book we have all been waiting for: LJ and Marisa’s stories. I just knew there had to be a backstory that would be very emotional and this proved to be true. LJ and Marisa have been at The Brothel in the background throughout all the other couples’ stories. Their status as Best Friends ONLY was a little outlandish for readers of this series to believe…and we were right!LJ has loved Marisa since they played together as children. Marisa has been fighting these feelings for LJ for about as long. Time is not on their side. They are both getting ready to graduate from college and their paths wouldn’t be aligning. Marisa and LJ have always been there for one another but Marisa has always thought the end of their relationship/friendship would come eventually. This was as a result of her parents’ breakup. Can LJ make Marisa understand that his love for her will bridge the gaps that are going to happen? Will he become the professional football player he’s always wanted to be? After a fıre at her apartment building, LJ moves Marisa into the house he shares with a couple of fellow football players/college mates.
